Research Ethics

ETHICS COMMITTEES ON RESEARCH WITH HUMANS & LABORATORY ANIMALS.
All research projects to be developed with the aim of obtaining Master’s and/or Doctoral degrees must be submitted to the ICB’s Ethics Committee on Human Research and the Ethics Committee on Research with Laboratory Animals, even those that have already been assessed by the Ethics Committees of other Teaching Units of USP or other institution.

A copy of the Protocol issued by the ICB Ethics Committee must be included in copies of Master’s Thesis or Doctoral Dissertation submitted to the Office of Graduate Studies.

The guidelines and forms are available at the ICB web site (www.icb.usp.br). Documentation should be sent to the Institute’s Directorate.

IMPORTANT: Students must file the project immediately and have the certificate from the Ethics Committee on Laboratory Animal Research no later than 90 days after enrollment (registration).
