Committee for Ethics in Research on Human Beings
Goals

DSC_4403The Committee for Ethics in Research (CEP) is committed to evaluate the ethicalness of the research projects of investigators, technologists, and post-doc students of the School of Public Health of the University of São Paulo – FSP/USP, as well as its decentralized and inter-institutional courses that concern human beings.

One of the great challenges of the CEP is to reduce the bureaucracy of human and intra-institutional relations in order to conduct researches and tries to experience them cautiously, rapidly, and sensibly with the dialog. However, to face this challenge, it is imperative that investigators and students should not take the sending of their projects as a mere bureaucratic task or just one more step forward that was created and that must be overtaken with a minimum of adversities so as to accomplish their surveys.

FDSC_0001 (24)Understanding the scientific liberty as a cultural act directed by the autonomy principles of people, justice, responsibility, and precaution, and moved by its own ethical sensibility, all leaders, technicians, investigators, and students of the School of Public Health of the University of São Paulo – FSP/USP are invited to irradiate in an exemplary manner this attention to the culture of ethics on the teaching-research exercise with human beings.
