MARIA PAULA BERTRAN[

Is a professor of Economic Law at the University of São Paulo, at the Ribeirão Preto Law School. Associate Professor in Legal Sociology at the University of São Paulo since 2015. Master and PhD in Philosophy and General Theory of Law from the University of São Paulo. Researches in the areas of Law and Economics, corruption, banking regulation, and human development. Member of the Habeas Data group of jurimetrics at the University of São Paulo. Founder and consultant of Acredito Think Tank at the University of São Paulo. Visiting Associate Professor (2020) at Stanford Law School, supported by the Tinker Foundation. Distinguished Brazilian Fulbright Chair in Democracy and Human Development (2018) and Visiting Fellow at the Kellogg Institute for International Studies (2018). Lawyer and consultant.

PEDRO AUGUSTO GREGORINI

Is a researcher in the field of Jurimetrics (statistics applied to Law) and Data Science at the University of São Paulo (Habeas Data – Center for Studies and Research in Jurimetrics). Master’s in Law from the University of São Paulo – USP (2021). Specialist in Civil Law from the University of São Paulo – USP (2021), with a scholarship. Specialist in Constitutional Law from the University for the Development of the State and the Pantanal Region – UNIDERP (2014). Law degree from Universidade Paulista – UNIP (2012). Member of the research groups at the University of São Paulo Habeas Data – Center for Studies and Research in Jurimetrics. Develops software for collecting procedural data available on justice websites in partnership with programmers. Engages in data collection, processing, and analysis tasks related to justice.

IARA PEREIRA RIBEIRO

Is a professor in the Department of Private Law and Civil Procedure at the Faculty of Law of Ribeirão Preto, University of São Paulo (USP), and the Master’s Program at the same institution. Holds a PhD, Master’s, and Bachelor’s degree in Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (PUC/SP) and a Bachelor’s degree in Literature from the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters, and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo (FFLCH/USP). Conducts research on Private Law and protection of vulnerability, with an emphasis on the rights of persons with disabilities and over-indebted consumers, as well as on Legal Education and Interdisciplinarity, highlighting studies in Law and Literature.

LUCAS LOPES DE FREITAS DA SILVA

Is a researcher in the field of Jurimetrics (statistics applied to Law). Master’s student in Law at the University of São Paulo – USP (2021). His project focuses on expanding the database on litigation involving banks in the Brazilian justice system. Specialist in Procedural Law from USP and a graduate of FDRP-USP.

DAVI FERREIRA VERONESE

Is a master’s student in Political Science (2022-2024) and graduate in Law (2021) from the University of São Paulo. Starting in September 2024, he will be a PhD student in Political Science and Government at Stanford University. He works as a research assistant on projects affiliated with the King Center on Global Development (Stanford University). He conducts research in the Political Economy of Development and Public Policy. He was a member of research and extension groups in Law and Economics at the Faculty of Law of Ribeirão Preto (University of São Paulo) (2017-2021).
