Orientadora pelos programas de p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Bioci\u00eancia Animal (FZEA\/USP), Ci\u00eancia Animal e Pastagens (ESALQ\/USP) e Ci\u00eancia e Tecnologia de Alimentos (ESALQ\/USP). Doutora em Ci\u00eancias pelo programa Ci\u00eancia Animal e Pastagens da ESALQ\/USP com est\u00e1gio em pesquisa na Iowa State University (ISU) na \u00e1rea de Animal Breeding Genetics and Genomics. Mestre em Ci\u00eancias Veterin\u00e1rias, \u00e1rea de Produ\u00e7\u00e3o Animal (produ\u00e7\u00e3o e gen\u00e9tica de su\u00ednos) pela Universidade Federal de Uberl\u00e2ndia (UFU), gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Zootecnia pela Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo (USP), IC em rastreabilidade animal na \u00e1rea de biologia molecular e pesquisa realizada no Parco Tecnologico Padano\/Universidade de Mil\u00e3o na It\u00e1lia. P\u00f3s-Doutorado em melhoramento gen\u00e9tico animal e gen\u00f4mica pela Iowa State University (ISU). Possui experi\u00eancia na \u00e1rea de produ\u00e7\u00e3o animal, gen\u00e9tica e gen\u00f4mica funcional. Atua\u00e7\u00e3o na \u00e1rea de identifica\u00e7\u00e3o e utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de marcadores moleculares para a sele\u00e7\u00e3o gen\u00e9tica e rastreabilidade de produtos de origem animal; express\u00e3o g\u00eanica diferencial; identifica\u00e7\u00e3o de muta\u00e7\u00f5es funcionais candidatas; efeito de elementos nutricionais na express\u00e3o g\u00eanica (nutrigen\u00f4mica). Atualmente trabalha com ferramentas da bioinform\u00e1tica para a an\u00e1lise de dados de genotipagem em larga escala (GWAS), sequenciamento de nova gera\u00e7\u00e3o (RNA-Seq, DNA-Seq, miRNA, sRNAs, etc), chamada de SNPs e INDELs aplicadas \u00e0 produ\u00e7\u00e3o animal e melhor entendimento de processos biol\u00f3gicos respons\u00e1veis por caracter\u00edsticas de interesse econ\u00f4mico. Estas ferramentas s\u00e3o atualmente de extrema import\u00e2ncia para ampliarmos nossos horizontes profissionais, acad\u00eamicos e de pesquisa, devido \u00e0 r\u00e1pida evolu\u00e7\u00e3o e acessibilidade de dados fenot\u00edpicos, gen\u00e9ticos e ambientais disponibilizados pelos pesquisadores e armazenados em bancos de dados de acesso p\u00fablico. Atua em pesquisa na \u00e1rea de alimentos funcionais e desenvolvimento de novos produtos. Participa e colabora com diferentes grupos de pesquisa nacionais e internacionais, e tem disseminado o conhecimento adquirido por meio de cursos, treinamentos, participa\u00e7\u00e3o em disciplinas, orienta\u00e7\u00f5es, co-orienta\u00e7\u00f5es, revis\u00e3o de artigos, avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de trabalhos cient\u00edficos, elabora\u00e7\u00e3o de texto did\u00e1tico e, bancas de defesa e qualifica\u00e7\u00e3o. Ci\u00eancia e Tecnologia de Alimentos da ESALQ\/USP, onde atua na \u00e1rea de &#8220;A\u00e7\u00facar, Fermenta\u00e7\u00e3o e Bebidas&#8221;, com foco em Tecnologia do A\u00e7\u00facar e Bioprocessos.<\/p><p>Engenheiro Agr\u00f4nomo formado pela ESALQ\/USP (2018), possui dois t\u00edtulos de mestrado: um em Agricultura Sustent\u00e1vel pela Universidade de Padova (It\u00e1lia) e outro em Ci\u00eancias do Solo e das Culturas pela Universidade da Ge\u00f3rgia (EUA), ambos conclu\u00eddos em 2020. \u00c9 doutor em Ci\u00eancias do Solo pela Universidade de Copenhagen (Dinamarca), onde tamb\u00e9m realizou p\u00f3s-doutorado. Atuou ainda como pesquisador convidado na Universidade da Ge\u00f3rgia, Universidade de Salamanca (Espanha) e ETH Zurich (Su\u00ed\u00e7a).<\/p><p>Com experi\u00eancia no setor sucroenerg\u00e9tico e s\u00f3lida trajet\u00f3ria internacional, Pietro desenvolveu pesquisas nas \u00e1reas de fermenta\u00e7\u00e3o, cana-de-a\u00e7\u00facar, manejo de res\u00edduos agroindustriais, fertilidade do solo e sustentabilidade na produ\u00e7\u00e3o de alimentos.
