localiza-se predominantemente na \u00e1rea rural. Abrange pequenas e m\u00e9dias propriedades, as quais utilizam a terra para a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de gado e porcos, o plantio de arroz, feij\u00e3o e milho, al\u00e9m de monoculturas de pinus, eucalipto e cana. O r\u00e1pido crescimento da cidade exigiu a amplia\u00e7\u00e3o do sistema de abastecimento. Assim, em 1998, foi necess\u00e1rio construir uma nova barragem para aumentar a quantidade de \u00e1gua captada, fornecendo 35% da \u00e1gua pot\u00e1vel para o Sempre foi um rio muito limpo. (\u2026) Voltei depois de 20 anos e vi que havia uma degrada\u00e7\u00e3o muito grande, (\u2026). (\u2026) n\u00e3o sabiam da import\u00e2ncia de se preservar aquele recurso natural (\u2026), porque era muito abundante, tinha muitas nascentes e todas em condi\u00e7\u00f5es favor\u00e1veis para se usar e hoje eu vejo que era um desprezo pelo rio. Porque na \u00e9poca se criava porco na beira do rio e os porcos entravam no rio (\u2026), era um barro s\u00f3, sujeira de porco. (\u2026) derrubaram muita \u00e1rvore para poder produzir, para plantar milho, arroz, feij\u00e3o e com a mudan\u00e7a do agroneg\u00f3cio eles deixaram de produzir, o que foi degradando, com grandes eros\u00f5es.
