O trabalho aborda as vari\u00e1veis que influenciam o sistema de produ\u00e7\u00e3o, determinando as condi\u00e7\u00f5es favor\u00e1veis ao melhor desempenho animal. O experimento foi realizado no ver\u00e3o de 2005, em uma propriedade comercial, localizada no munic\u00edpio de Elias Fausto, estado de S\u00e3o Paulo. A pesquisa foi desenvolvida no setor de gesta\u00e7\u00e3o, com 24 matrizes prim\u00edparas, 12 f\u00eameas alojadas em baias individuais (T1) e 12, em baias coletivas (T2), e, posteriormente, na maternidade, onde foram quantificados os \u00edndices de produ\u00e7\u00e3o dos leit\u00f5es. As vari\u00e1veis meteorol\u00f3gicas apontam o sistema de confinamento em baias coletivas como aquele que permitiu melhor condicionamento t\u00e9rmico natural \u00e0s matrizes. Os par\u00e2metros fisiol\u00f3gicos e os \u00edndices zoot\u00e9cnicos apresentaram valores mais adequados para o T2, com seu correspondente reflexo no desempenho da pari\u00e7\u00e3o dos leit\u00f5es. A avalia\u00e7\u00e3o comportamental apontou menor incid\u00eancia de estereotipias no T2, comparativamente ao T1.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><a
