Os mecanismos de controle das fases G1 e S do ciclo celular s\u00e3o respons\u00e1veis pela regula\u00e7\u00e3o do programa de vida celular, incluindo os processos de prolifera\u00e7\u00e3o, diferencia\u00e7\u00e3o, transforma\u00e7\u00e3o, senesc\u00eancia e morte celular. Os objetivos da pesquisa s\u00e3o: 1- Identificar ao n\u00edvel gen\u00e9tico-molecular as muta\u00e7\u00f5es respons\u00e1veis pela perda do controle do ciclo celular em diferentes tipos de tumores humanos; 2- Por meio de um sistema de vetores de retrov\u00edrus, &#8220;corrigir&#8221; os genes do controle do ciclo celular defeituosos em c\u00e9lulas transformadas e 3- Avaliar as consequ\u00eancias da repara\u00e7\u00e3o do controle do ciclo celular em c\u00e9lulas transformadas.
