Resumo
We present a new structured mathematical model as part of a larger project aimed at investigating dengue reinfections as the Antibody-Dependent Enhancement (ADE) phenomenon, and also optimal control strategies. The proposed vector-host model integrates viral load and antibody micro dynamics to characterize new infections.
We examine a specific case that leads to an associated model, analyzing its endemic equilibrium and basic reproduction number through theoretical and numerical studies. These initial findings align with expected epidemiological behavior, providing a foundation for the further development of models to explore ADE dynamics and to study effective strategies for controlling dengue.
