font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt; vertical-align: baseline;\">&nbsp;\u00e9 o principal vetor transmissor de v\u00e1rias doen\u00e7as como dengue, zika, chikungunya e febre amarela. Seu controle requer um melhor entendimento da din\u00e2mica populacional espacial do mosquito, incluindo seu ciclo de vida. A maioria dos modelos descrevem a din\u00e2mica da popula\u00e7\u00e3o total dos mosquitos. Esta abordagem n\u00e3o permite tratar aspectos espaciais do&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt; font-style: italic; vertical-align: baseline;\">Aedes aegypti<\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(34, 34, 34); font-family: Arial; font-size: 11pt; vertical-align: baseline;\">&nbsp;importantes o ponto de vista da sa\u00fade p\u00fablica. Nesta palestra ser\u00e1 mostrado como modelar a din\u00e2mica populacional espacial deste mosquito usando equa\u00e7\u00f5es diferenciais parciais. Os modelos desenvolvidos foram aplicados em dois estudos comparando os casos homog\u00eaneo (os valores dos par\u00e2metros n\u00e3o dependem da topografia) e heterog\u00eaneo (alguns valores dos par\u00e2metros mudam com a topografia, i.e., diferenciam ruas, casas, parques, etc.). O primeiro estudo [1] focou na utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de inseticidas. A partir do modelo foram obtidas f\u00f3rmulas relacionando o coeficiente de capacidade de suporte da fase aqu\u00e1tica \u00e0s quantidades mensur\u00e1veis experimentalmente, como o n\u00famero m\u00e1ximo de mosquitos f\u00eameas, ovos e larvas. Simula\u00e7\u00f5es computacionais apontam que a frequ\u00eancia semanal de aplica\u00e7\u00e3o de inseticida resulta no maior controle do vetor. Al\u00e9m disso, resultados do cen\u00e1rio heterog\u00eaneo, mostram que a popula\u00e7\u00e3o de mosquitos permanece dentro dos blocos de casas, limitando a aplicabilidade de inseticidas. O segundo estudo [2] focou na utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de mosquitos geneticamente modificados. A partir do modelo \u00e9 poss\u00edvel determinar analiticamente os valores cr\u00edticos da periodicidade de libera\u00e7\u00e3o e da quantidade de mosquitos geneticamente modificados para o controle populacional.
