Ribeirão Preto is 314 Km away from the city of São Paulo and the seventh most populated city in the state of São Paulo with a population of 720,116 inhabitants. It is a considerably warm city during almost the entire year. It is important to note that the air humidity is quite low with rare rainy days, so it is crucial to stay hydrated.

and socket are the standard in Brazil and the main voltage may be 127V or 220V depending on where you may be staying in Ribeirão Preto (there are places where you may find both).
How to get to Ribeirão Preto-SP
1. By plane
The state capital of São Paulo has two major airports, Congonhas Airport (CGH) for domestic flights and the Guarulhos International Airport – Governador André Franco Montoro (GRU) for the international ones. After arriving at CGH or GRU, you can take a second flight to Ribeirão Preto Airport “State Airport Doutor Leite Lopes”(RAO), from where you may request a taxi or an uber driver.

2. By Bus
It is possible to take a shuttle bus called Airport Bus Service (blue and red) from both airports in the city of São Paulo, GRU and CGH, to the Tietê Bus Station, from where you may take a second bus to Ribeirão Preto. There are two bus companies that cover this route, Rápido Ribeirão Preto and Viação Cometa.
What to do in the city
There is always a great variety of events taking place in Ribeirão Preto. A great website to look for something to do while being in the city is “Varal diverso”. As a suggestion, it is worth visiting the Pedro II Theater, an opera house downtown that hosts varied presentations.
