The Brazil-Spain Workshop on Organic Chemistry (BSWOC) is a bianual and bilateral event that mainly envisions the stablishment of solid collaborations between brazilian and spanish researchers and their respective institutions. This international event, which has alternately taken place in Brazil and Spain as indicated below, was conceived during the 1º Workshop of the Chemistry Department from Unicamp (The State University of Campinas) in 2009.

5^th Brazil-Spain Workshop on Organic Chemistry, October 24-26, 2016, The Federal University of Santa Catarina, Florianópolis/SC, Brazil.

6^th Brazil-Spain Workshop on Organic Chemistry, October 1-3, 2018, University of Oviedo, Oviedo, Spain.

For the first time, a BSWOC edition (7^th) will be held in the city of Ribeirão Preto, state of São Paulo. 14 plenary lectures will be given by renowned researchers from Brazil and Spain covering key topics on organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, natural products, biocatalysis, organocatalysis, supramolecular chemistry and nanomaterials. Additionally, the BSWOC 2023 will feature two poster sessions and flash presentations. The official language of the event is English.

Concerning science diffusion and professional networking, this event is highly suitable for professors, researchers, graduate and undergradute students, postdoctoral researchers, and industry representatives.
