O pr\u00eamio \u00e9 atribu\u00eddo anualmente pela The World Academy of Sciences (em portugu\u00eas, Academia Mundial de Ci\u00eancias) a jovens cientistas com menos de 40 anos que desenvolvem suas pesquisas na Am\u00e9rica Latina e Caribe.<\/p>\n<p>O\u00a0TWAS-LACREP Young Scientists Prize\u00a0\u00e9 um reconhecimento a pesquisadores de pa\u00edses em desenvolvimento que trouxeram grandes contribui\u00e7\u00f5es ao avan\u00e7o da ci\u00eancia, mensuradas em termos do n\u00famero e do impacto de artigos cient\u00edficos publicados em peri\u00f3dicos cient\u00edficos internacionalmente reconhecidos.<\/p>\n<p>A premia\u00e7\u00e3o inclui um valor em dinheiro e a oportunidade de participar da cerim\u00f4nia anual de posse dos novos membros da Academia Brasileira de Ci\u00eancia (ABC), quando Cunha far\u00e1 uma apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o sobre seus trabalhos desenvolvidos atualmente.<\/p>\n<p>A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twas.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TWAS<\/a>\u00a0\u00e9 uma academia global baseada em Trieste, na It\u00e1lia, e trabalha pelo desenvolvimento sustent\u00e1vel por meio de pesquisa, educa\u00e7\u00e3o, pol\u00edtica e diplomacia em pa\u00edses em desenvolvimento. A sede do\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.twas-rolac.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Escrit\u00f3rio Regional da TWAS para a Am\u00e9rica Latina e o Caribe
