Ph.D. Paulo Roberto Costa​

Prof. Paulo has Bachelor’s and MSc. degree in Physics and Ph.D. in Nuclear Technology from University of São Paulo. He is currently Associated Professor at the Institute of Physics at USP. He is Clinically Qualified Medical Physics in Diagnostic Imaging area by the Brazilian Association of Medical Physics. Holds expertise in the field of Medical Physics, primarily focusing on the development of materials radiologically equivalent to tissues, radiological protection, computed tomography, quality control in diagnostic imaging, and X-ray spectrometry. He is a lecturer in the Medical Physics Residency Program: Diagnostic Imaging modality at the Department of Radiology and Oncology, Faculty of Medicine, USP. He is full member of the Coordinating Committee for the Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Physics at IFUSP/FMUSP, member of the Global Research and Scientific Innovation Committee and the Hispanic and Latin-x Medical Physics Subcommittee of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine and member of the Medical Physics Comission of the Brasilian Physics Society. Prof. Paulo is father of Pedro (2009) and Ingrid (2019).
