Physics degree and Ph.D. in Materials Science at S\u00e3o Paulo State University (UNESP), Brazil. He has completed two post-doctorate positions. One with the Nuclear Physics Department at University of S\u00e3o Paulo (USP), Brazil, and another with Clemson University, USA. Currently, he is a professor at the Institute of Physics of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (IFUSP) and has undertaken unprecedented studies of thermoluminescence, radioluminescence, and optically stimulated luminescence of new materials.<\/span><\/span><\/p>
