Control of communicable processes in complex humanitarian emergencies

Dr. Arcos will deliver his first lecture on complex emergencies as a public health problem.  The objectives of this session are to present the characteristics, evolution, and context of complex emergencies as a global public health problem, their main impacts on the affected populations, and the priority intervention strategies to be implemented.

In his second lecture, Dr. Arcos will discuss infectious diseases in complex emergency situations. The objectives of this session are to present the impact of communicable diseases in emergency situations in terms of frequency and mortality, as well as to review the main ones and the different strategies for their control, especially in epidemic contexts.
