O Grupo de Arte e Intelig\u00eancia Artificial (GAIA) \u00e9 uma rede de pesquisadores e artistas interessados em refletir e problematizar as infraestruturas digitais contempor\u00e2neas de forma experimental e art\u00edstica.<\/p>\n

GAIA \u00e9 tamb\u00e9m um espa\u00e7o para a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o de experi\u00eancias em diferentes formatos, que exploram processos relacionados \u00e0s Intelig\u00eancias Artificiais, considerando suas implica\u00e7\u00f5es sociais e a ativa\u00e7\u00e3o cr\u00edtica de seus c\u00f3digos.<\/p>\n

Coordenado pela artista e professora da FAUUSP Giselle Beiguelman e pelo artista e pesquisador Bruno Moreschi, o GAIA integra o C4AI, Centro de Intelig\u00eancia Artificial do Inova USP dirigido pelo professor Fabio Gagliardi Cozman (Escola Polit\u00e9cnica da USP).<\/p>\n

Desde 2019, seus membros realizam pesquisas, supervis\u00f5es e artigos acad\u00eamicos, al\u00e9m de participar de congressos, resid\u00eancias art\u00edsticas, performances e manter um grupo quinzenal de leituras. Dessa forma, as formula\u00e7\u00f5es do GAIA buscam engajar tanto o universo acad\u00eamico, quanto o p\u00fablico em geral.<\/p>\n

Por meio de parcerias com universidades, institui\u00e7\u00f5es culturais e grupos ativistas do Brasil e do mundo, GAIA articula-se a partir de tr\u00eas eixos que respondem ao contexto em que este grupo est\u00e1 inserido: o Sul Global, a Am\u00e9rica Latina e o Brasil.<\/p>\n

GAIA tem como diretriz de trabalho contemplar a diversidade de g\u00eanero e de ra\u00e7a, desafio necess\u00e1rio n\u00e3o s\u00f3 para grupos como o GAIA, mas tamb\u00e9m para toda grande \u00e1rea que inclui arte, tecnologia e Intelig\u00eancia Artificial.<\/p>\n

The Group on Artificial Intelligence and Art (GAIA) is a network of researchers and artists who are interested in reflecting and problematizing contemporary digital infrastructures in an experimental and artistic way.<\/p>\n

GAIA is also a space for carrying out experiments in different formats, that explore processes related to Artificial Intelligence and that consider the social implications and the critical activation of AI\u2019s codes.<\/p>\n

The group is coordinated by the artist and professor of FAUUSP (University of S\u00e3o Paulo\u2019s Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism), prof. Giselle Beiguelman, and by the artist and researcher, Dr. Bruno Moreschi. GAIA is part of the C4AI, Inova USP’s Artificial Intelligence Center that is directed by Professor Fabio Gagliardi Cozman (USP\u2019s Polytechnic School).<\/p>\n

Since 2019, GAIA\u2019s members have developed researches, supervisions and academic articles, besides participating in congresses, artistic residencies and performances, and maintaining a biweekly group of readings. Therefore, GAIA\u2019s design seeks to engage both academic and general public\u2019s universes.<\/p>\n

Through partnerships with universities, cultural institutions, and national and international activist groups, GAIA articulates itself from the three axes that respond to the context in which this group is inserted: the Global South, the Latin America and, of course, Brazil.<\/p>\n

As our guideline, we pursue the contemplation of the diversity of gender and race, which we think is a necessary challenge not only for groups such as GAIA, but also for any large area that includes art, technology and Artificial Intelligence.<\/p>\n
