{"id":875,"date":"2025-10-04T13:16:22","date_gmt":"2025-10-04T15:16:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.usp.br\/gebrics\/?page_id=875"},"modified":"2025-10-05T19:21:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-05T21:21:10","slug":"historia","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.usp.br\/gebrics\/pagina-1\/historia\/","title":{"rendered":"Hist\u00f3ria"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: center; font-size: 32px; margin-bottom: 20px;\">\n  Quem Somos<br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<p><!-- Texto em portugu\u00eas --><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 15px;\">\n  Sob a coordena\u00e7\u00e3o do Prof. Titular Paulo Borba Casella, o Grupo de Estudos sobre os BRICS da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo (GEBRICS\/USP) foi criado em 2015 com o objetivo de aprofundar o estudo dos BRICS, a partir de discuss\u00f5es iniciadas na disciplina \u201cBRICS \u2013 Brasil, R\u00fassia, \u00cdndia, China e \u00c1frica do Sul: uma perspectiva\u201d na p\u00f3s-gradua\u00e7\u00e3o da Faculdade de Direito da USP.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 15px;\">\n  Vinculado ao Departamento de Direito Internacional e Comparado da Faculdade de Direito da USP, o GEBRICS \u00e9 composto por pesquisadores da gradua\u00e7\u00e3o, mestrado, doutorado, professores e estudiosos dos BRICS, que analisam de forma comparativa e interdisciplinar quest\u00f5es como governan\u00e7a, multipolaridade global e coopera\u00e7\u00e3o entre os pa\u00edses do grupo. Os membros do GEBRICS participam regularmente de eventos relacionados aos BRICS e se encontram com representantes desses pa\u00edses no Brasil. Anualmente, h\u00e1 um edital para novos pesquisadores ingressarem no grupo, buscando trazer cada vez mais diversidade de vis\u00e3o e opini\u00f5es.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 15px;\">\n  Al\u00e9m das atividades de pesquisa ao longo do ano, o GEBRICS realiza a &#8220;Jornada dos BRICS&#8221; desde 2017, um evento que re\u00fane professores, estudantes, diplomatas e representantes consulares dos pa\u00edses dos BRICS em S\u00e3o Paulo, promovendo discuss\u00f5es acad\u00eamicas, cient\u00edficas e diplom\u00e1ticas sobre o tema. O grupo tamb\u00e9m procura publicar anualmente uma colet\u00e2nea de artigos sobre os BRICS, com a colabora\u00e7\u00e3o de estudiosos do BRICS+.\n<\/p>\n<hr style=\"margin: 30px 0;\">\n<p><!-- Texto em ingl\u00eas --><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center; font-size: 32px; margin-bottom: 20px;\">\n  About Us<br \/>\n<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 15px;\">\n  The BRICS Research Group of the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (GEBRICS\/USP) was established in 2015, under the coordination of Full Professor Paulo Borba Casella from the Department of International and Comparative Law at the Faculty of Law of USP. The think tank emerged from the initiative to deepen the study of the BRICS, stemming from discussions initiated in the course &#8220;BRICS \u2013 Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa: a perspective&#8221; in the postgraduate program at the Faculty of Law of USP.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 15px;\">\n  GEBRICS comprises researchers from undergraduate, master&#8217;s, and doctoral programs, as well as professors and scholars of the BRICS, who analyze comparative and interdisciplinary issues such as governance, global multipolarity, and cooperation among the bloc&#8217;s countries. GEBRICS members actively participate in events related to the BRICS and engage in meaningful discussions with representatives of these countries in Brazil. Every year, BRICS extends an invitation to new researchers who wish to join the group and contribute to its mission of fostering diversity of thought and perspectives.\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 1.6; margin-bottom: 15px;\">\n  In addition to research activities throughout the year, GEBRICS has been organizing the &#8220;BRICS Conference&#8221; (Jornada dos BRICS) since 2017, an event that brings together professors, students, diplomats, and consular representatives from BRICS countries in S\u00e3o Paulo, fostering academic, scientific, and diplomatic discussions on the subject.
