Connected – Global AR Exhibition

25 de fevereiro de 2021
Jandig is an opensource tool where everyone can create art with augmented reality. Here are some examples of how people here from Brazil, where the initiative has begun, have been using Jandig to express themselves and expand their creative limits.

MozFest 2021 Jandig Curators: Hebert Valois | Almir Almas | Gracielle Higino | VJ pixel

Hamsa (2019)

Object Author: Ceci Shiki | Thiego
Marker Author: Hebert Valois
What we see is not always exactly what is there. There are layers of reality and layers of potential that can be stacked, deforming perception. Reality is clay and we mold it with the hands of our souls. Hamsa also belongs to Longa Vida a Jandig, the first exhibition from the app which collects ancient, neolithic, Jandig objects and markers.

Silver (2020)

Marker and Object Author: Adriana Pedrosa
Silver is one of the best conductors of electricity and heat that we know. It is used in electrical products, printed circuits, batteries, car radiators, musical instruments and even on powerful explosives. Another important of its properties is the high capacity of reflecting light. Its name comes from the Sanskrit word argunas which means shine. And you? What sensitizes you? What light are you reflecting? This artwork is part of RA Remexe, a project that combines art and fashion design to advocate for electronic trash recycling.

House of Guilherme Mansur, ‘Typoet’ (2019)

Marker and Objects Authors: Jonathan Tertuliano | Jonatha Corrêa | Lara Fernandes | Larissa Kamei | Pedro Thairan
This artwork from UEMG design students homage Guilherme Mansur, brazilian typography designer and depicts his house in Ouro Preto, an historical city where the Marte Festival took place that year.

Nossa Sra. do Rosário Church (2019)

Marker and Objects Authors: Carolina Águida | Laura Mattos | Kétlen Vasconcelos | Maria Clara Marinho
First a chapel. Then a church. And then an even bigger church which embodies with perfection the brazilian colonial architecture. This is the Nossa Sra. do Rosário church, in Ouro Preto. Design students sign this piece, originated from a partnership between Jandig, Marte Festival and UEMG - Universidade do Estado de Minas Gerais.

Samba Dancer 4.0 (2020)

General Direction by Almir Almas
Object Author: LabArteMídia - Laboratory of Art, Media and Digital Technologies
Marker Author: Hebert Valois
Developed for the “Carnival 4.0 Project” with the Samba School Sociedade Rosas de Ouro, in São Paulo. The augmented reality markers placed in “carnival float” are reinterpretations of female robots, which appear in science fiction and in reality. LabArteMídia/USP created “Passista 4.0 (Samba Dancer 4.0)” considering the parade theme by carnival artist André Machado and researches in the community of Rosas de Ouro. Samba Dancer 4.0 is interpreted by Rosana Garcia, choreographer and leader of the samba school’s dancers.

Right now, what would you like to look at? I look at you and ask: WHAT'S IN YOUR EYES? This is an artwork in Augmented Reality (AR), originally made for the “NaBorda Pandemia” eBook, by the NaBorda Art Collectives. What’s in your eyes?
