No caso de obras lineares como ferrovias sempre h\u00e1 trechos de cortes e aterros que est\u00e3o sujeitos a desastres associados com deslizamentos. A ocupa\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00e1reas mais acidentadas associados com os efeitos das mudan\u00e7as clim\u00e1ticas e eventos extremos tem intensificado a ocorr\u00eancia dos escorregamentos. Al\u00e9m de todo conhecimento geot\u00e9cnico existente sobre: inspe\u00e7\u00e3o, monitoramento e an\u00e1lise de estabilidade de taludes, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel introduzir as ferramentas dispon\u00edveis na Industria 4.0 para melhorar a qualidade dos resultados. Para tornar a via permanente mais resiliente aos poss\u00edveis danos causados por escorregamento \u00e9 preciso conhecer as \u00e1reas mais propensas a sofrerem escorregamentos que pode ser obtido por um mapeamento. Em uma vis\u00e3o mais regional \u00e9 poss\u00edvel fazer um detalhamento maior que o obtido no mapeamento de risco tomando partido de novas tecnologias de sensoriamento remoto por meio de sat\u00e9lite, radar interferom\u00e9trico ou imagens. Inspe\u00e7\u00f5es com drones ou VANT associados com t\u00e9cnicas de intelig\u00eancia artificial e monitoramento remoto podem atingir a \u00e1rea de dif\u00edcil acesso, al\u00e9m de reduzir o risco de exposi\u00e7\u00e3o de inspetores. Paralelamente ser\u00e3o conduzidos estudos na USP em modelo f\u00edsico ou talude experimental para testar e calibrar as tecnologias a serem usadas em campo. Um modelo f\u00edsico ou talude experimental ser\u00e1 planejado e colocado em opera\u00e7\u00e3o onde ser\u00e3o testados os sensores e as t\u00e9cnicas de monitoramento, al\u00e9m do pr\u00f3prio treinamento da equipe. Um dos taludes na EFC ser\u00e1 escolhido para ser estudado com detalhes. Al\u00e9m da investiga\u00e7\u00e3o geot\u00e9cnica-geol\u00f3gica e geof\u00edsica do talude, ser\u00e3o instalados instrumentos para monitoramento convencional e, sensores de baixo custo conectados via internet das coisas (IoT) e acompanhamento em tempo real. A an\u00e1lise dos dados espec\u00edficos do talude incorporar\u00e1 o estudo do comportamento dos materiais geot\u00e9cnicos, do monitoramento e an\u00e1lise num\u00e9rica.
