Patrizia Dardi

PhD Candidate

Brief Bio

Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences from the Biomedical Sciences Institute at University of Sao Paulo (2017). Researcher at the Vascular Physiology Lab since 2016, primarily as an Undergraduate Researcher (2016-2017, CNPq/PIBIC scholarship). In 2017, started the Master’s in the Postgraduate Program in Human Physiology at ICB/USP, seeking to understand the interaction between the intestinal microbiota, vascular remodeling of resistance arteries and the development and maintenance of arterial hypertension (CAPES scholarship). Currently a PhD Candidate in Sciences (Human Physiology) at the Vascular Physiology Lab under the supervision of Professor Luciana Venturini Rossoni. Experience in the field of Cardiovascular Physiology, with an emphasis on the Vascular System, working mainly on the study of structural and mechanical changes in resistance arteries, the role of the microbiota, and their cell signaling pathways.

Research Project

Study of the effect of cross-fostering on intestinal changes that influence vascular remodeling and the development of arterial hypertension. FAPESP Scholarship 2020/10381-5.
