Brief Bio

Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedicine from “Faculdades Integradas de Patos”, Paraíba (2013) and Master’s Degree in Biotechnology from the Federal University of Paraíba (2016, CAPES scholarship). Currently a PhD Candidate in Sciences (Human Physiology) at the Vascular Physiology Lab of the Biomedical Sciences Institute at University of Paulo (USP), under the supervision of Professor Luciana Venturini Rossoni. Experience in the field of Cardiovascular Physiology, with an emphasis on the Vascular System, working mainly on the study of the role of perivascular innervation in the control of vascular tone in arterial hypertension, through the technique of vascular reactivity in myograph for resistance vessels.

Research Project

Evaluation of the vasomotor response to electrical field stimulation in the mesenteric artery of rats with deoxycorticosterone-induced hypertension and salt overload (DOCA-salt): participation of endogenous ouabain. CNPq Scholarship.
