Entre outros aspectos, temos estudado nos \u00faltimos anos o papel desempenhado pela sinaliza\u00e7\u00e3o central de v\u00e1rios horm\u00f4nios sobre neur\u00f4nios hipotal\u00e2micos, incluindo o estradiol, prolactina, citocinas pr\u00f3-inflamat\u00f3rias e mais especificamente o da leptina e horm\u00f4nio do crescimento. Utilizamos m\u00e9todos neuroanat\u00f4micos, histol\u00f3gicos, de biologia molecular e de manipula\u00e7\u00e3o g\u00eanica, para estudar a neurofisiologia dos circuitos hipotal\u00e2micos que regulam o metabolismo e eixos end\u00f3crinos.
