class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O LBIA do Departamento de Parasitologia do ICB-USP foi implementado em 1988 pelos Profs. Drs. Sirlei Daffre e Osvaldo Marinotti, que introduziram t\u00e9cnicas bioqu\u00edmicas e moleculares para o estudo de diferentes mol\u00e9culas de aracn\u00eddeos (aranhas e carrapatos) e de insetos (mosquitos e moscas). Os dois professores compartilharam o LBIA at\u00e9 o ano 2000, quando o Prof. Dr. Osvaldo Marinotti deixou a USP para desenvolver estudos na Universidade da Calif\u00f3rnia (EUA).\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">O enfoque inicial da linha da Profa. Sirlei Daffre foi o sistema imune de aracn\u00eddeos, utilizando o carrapato de boi, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rhipicephalus microplus<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, e a aranha caranguejeira, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Acanthoscurria gomesiana<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, como modelos. A partir de 2003, a linha de pesquisa da Profa. Sirlei incorporou o estudo das intera\u00e7\u00f5es entre <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Anaplasma marginale<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, agente etiol\u00f3gico da anaplasmose bovina, e o carrapato <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">R. microplus<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Em 2009, a Dra. Andrea C. Foga\u00e7a, ex-aluna da Profa. Sirlei e com um projeto Jovens Pesquisadores da FAPESP aprovado, retornou ao LBIA e estabeleceu uma nova linha de pesquisa: as intera\u00e7\u00f5es moleculares entre <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rickettsia rickettsii<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> e seus carrapatos vetores no Brasil. Em 2010, a Dra. Andrea foi aprovada em um concurso p\u00fablico e passou a compor o quadro de docentes do Departamento de Parasitologia do ICB-USP. Os estudos colaborativos das duas docentes levaram \u00e0 produ\u00e7\u00e3o de importantes artigos cient\u00edficos acerca das intera\u00e7\u00f5es entre carrapatos e bact\u00e9rias por eles transmitidas. Com a aposentadoria da Profa. Sirlei Daffre em 2022, o LBIA \u00e9 atualmente, coordenado pela Profa.
