Esta meta pode ser alcan\u00e7ada aumentando a velocidade m\u00e9dia de tr\u00e1fego, aumentando a carga por eixo, aumentando a capacidade de carga dos vag\u00f5es ou aumentando o tamanho do trem. T\u00e9cnicas de simula\u00e7\u00e3o num\u00e9rica permitem avaliar novos projetos utilizando t\u00e9cnicas de modelagem antes mesmo da constru\u00e7\u00e3o do cabe\u00e7as de s\u00e9rie. Desta forma pode-se avaliar seu comportamento din\u00e2mico do sistema individual (vag\u00e3o) ou coletivo (trem) e desempenho de seguran\u00e7a para novas condi\u00e7\u00f5es de utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o. Em geral as avalia\u00e7\u00f5es s\u00e3o realizadas baseadas em normas internacionais (<a href=\"https:\/\/railroads.dot.gov\/railroad-safety\"><em><strong>AAR: Cap.
