Tipicamente s\u00e3o caminh\u00f5es de maior porte articulados para\u00a0 transportar carga no vasto territ\u00f3rio nacional. O tratamento aos ve\u00edculos de carga se justificaria pela import\u00e2ncia que o transporte rodovi\u00e1rio exerce na economia brasileira. De acordo com o anu\u00e1rio da Agencia Nacional de Transportes Terrestres de 2023 o Brasil contava com uma frota legalizada de 2.182.000 caminh\u00f5es. Esse n\u00famero, j\u00e1 bastante expressivo se comparado as frotas de outros pa\u00edses com Produto Interno Bruto maior que o brasileiro, s\u00f3 vem crescendo nos \u00faltimos anos devido a carente infraestrutura brasileira em outras \u00e1reas de transporte, como a ferrovi\u00e1ria, a fluvial e a de cabotagem, fen\u00f4meno esse que deve perdurar por algum tempo ainda, caso n\u00e3o haja uma mudan\u00e7a de postura em rela\u00e7\u00e3o a infraestrutura de transportes. Assim, com as ruas e estradas com presen\u00e7a cada vez maior desses ve\u00edculos, \u00e9 mister que esses sejam seguros, e guiados da mesma forma, j\u00e1 que acidentes envolvendo caminh\u00f5es podem ser sempre potencialmente desastrosos. O efeito canivete (<em>jackknife) <\/em>em caminh\u00f5es do tipo semi-reboque (que pode acontecer tamb\u00e9m para outras configura\u00e7\u00f5es de cavalo-carreta) \u00e9 um assunto de grande import\u00e2ncia quando se estuda a seguran\u00e7a de ve\u00edculos articulados em geral. Tal fen\u00f4meno se caracteriza por um efeito \u201c<em>acotovelamento<\/em>\u201d na configura\u00e7\u00e3o do cavalo-carreta, com consequente poss\u00edvel choque entre ambas as estruturas, podendo gerar consequ\u00eancias bastante graves para os ve\u00edculos que estejam em volta do equipamento. Tal efeito pode ter origem em comportamentos an\u00f4malos na dire\u00e7\u00e3o do caminh\u00e3o, como freadas bruscas, perdas de tra\u00e7\u00e3o, curvas fechadas, pouca ader\u00eancia da pista, entre outros.<\/p>\r\n<h2>\u00a0<\/h2>\r\n<h2>Modelo e Controle de Estabilidade em Caminh\u00f5es com Reboque<\/h2>\r\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Estudo de modelos f\u00edsicos e matem\u00e1ticos para a simula\u00e7\u00e3o din\u00e2mica de um caminh\u00e3o do tipo semi-reboque. Algumas entradas ser\u00e3o aplicadas de forma a simular anomalias na dire\u00e7\u00e3o do ve\u00edculo ou na frenagem para verificar qual o seu comportamento para essas circunst\u00e2ncias, e verificar para que tipos de entrada cr\u00edticas podem levar a ocorr\u00eancia do processo descrito. Um modelo n\u00e3o linear detalhado foi desenvolvido e utilizado como ferramenta de simula\u00e7\u00e3o para verificar o desempenho din\u00e2mico. Os resultados anal\u00edticos do efeito canivete foram validados por compara\u00e7\u00e3o com a tend\u00eancia de instabilidade simulada com um modelo din\u00e2mico de ve\u00edculo completo. Os resultados mostram boa concord\u00e2ncia entre a express\u00e3o anal\u00edtica proposta e a simula\u00e7\u00e3o num\u00e9rica.
