Its main objective is the investigation of electrochemical processes that occur at the electrode \/ solution interface and the role of electrodic materials in these processes. The research lines developed in LEEA mainly cover the Electrocatalysis and Environmental Electrochemistry. In Eletrocatalysis area organic molecules electrooxidation reaction and the oxygen reduction reaction are studied aiming at understanding the electrodic processes and the development of efficient electrodes for their application in fuel cells.
