Among the biomolecules of primary interest are: antimicrobial peptides; antigenic proteins from leishmania membranes; alkaline phosphatase, ATPase, NPP1, annexin. It is worth noting that, despite appearing to be such diverse topics, all are developed with common methodologies, present scientific merit and relevance, and are original multidisciplinary research projects of great importance in the areas of biochemistry\/biophysics and biotechnology.
