Prof. Dr. George C. Cardoso, D.Sc.

Prof. George Cunha Cardoso’s interests include low-cost optical techniques, based on novel ideas, machine learning, and physical and mathematical trick to acquiring biological information for potential health diagnostics. He is also interested in measurement theory and epidemics modeling. He has published over 50 publications in peer-reviewed international journals and conference proceedings, in addition to more than 20 international patents. His experience includes 6 years of research at Xerox Research Center (PARC East) and another 6 years at academic institutions in the US after a Ph.D. in atomic and optical physics in Recife (UFPE).
