Its work covers both fundamental problems and engineering applications, using analytical, computational, and experimental approaches.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">With a diverse portfolio of research lines and projects, NDF works on topics related to fluid dynamics, dynamic systems, modeling, simulation, and technological development. Its activities are supported by funding agencies such as FAPESP and CNPq, as well as partnerships with the productive sector, maintaining a tradition of collaboration with areas such as energy, oil and gas, cables, and the chemical industry.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">Currently, the group is coordinated by Prof. Bruno Souza Carmo and brings together faculty from different departments of the Escola Polit\u00e9cnica, including Mechanical Engineering, Naval and Oceanic Engineering, and Mining and Petroleum Engineering. NDF also includes postdoctoral researchers, doctoral students, master&#8217;s students, undergraduate research students, and capstone project students, as well as technical and administrative support (CEA) is a group at the Escola Polit\u00e9cnica da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo dedicated to teaching, research, and development in the area of automotive engineering. Created in 2003 by Prof. Ronaldo de Breyne Salvagni, CEA is linked to the Departamento de Engenharia Mec\u00e2nica and aims to contribute to the development of the Brazilian automotive sector and increase its presence in the global context.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">With activities focused on both industrial challenges and strategic sector issues, CEA develops projects related to vehicles, mobility systems, engineering processes, and new technologies applied to the automotive industry. Its activities include the training of students, researchers, and professionals, as well as conducting research and projects in partnership with national and international companies and institutions.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">Currently, CEA is coordinated by Prof. Marcelo Augusto Leal Alves and brings together faculty from the Departamento de Engenharia Mec\u00e2nica at the Escola Polit\u00e9cnica. Its activities also include the participation of collaborators linked to industry and national and international institutions related to automotive of new technologies, processes, and analysis methods in the areas of refrigeration, air conditioning, and indoor air quality.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\"><span class=\"\">With activities focused on both fundamental studies and applications in buildings and HVAC systems, the group conducts research related to air quality in hospital environments, thermal comfort in offices and aircraft cabins, refrigeration systems, solar collectors, and sustainable air conditioning technologies.
