ISSN 2448-1181<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>Forma\u00e7\u00e3o Acad\u00eamica<\/strong> (Odontogeriatria) do Educando deve estar associado a\u00e7\u00f5es que estimulem a qualidade de vida \u00fatil da &#8220;Pr\u00f3tese Total&#8221;.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>Forma\u00e7\u00e3o Acad\u00eamica<\/strong> (Odontogeriatria) deve contribuir para o acolhimento (Desdentado Total) a cuidar da Sa\u00fade Bucal com destaque para: Satisfa\u00e7\u00e3o e Bem Estar<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Durante a \u00faltima d\u00e9cada, houve um aumento na expectativa de vida e mudan\u00e7a na concep\u00e7\u00e3o de sa\u00fade oral dos idosos pelos cirurgi\u00f5es-dentista, paralelamente os avan\u00e7os tecnol\u00f3gicos e cient\u00edficos tem contribu\u00eddo com a Sa\u00fade Bucal dos paciente desdentados totais.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">No entanto, a satisfa\u00e7\u00e3o dos pacientes com pr\u00f3tese totais e as necessidades de tratamento oral dos idosos sendo que um dos maiores desafios na pr\u00e1tica odontol\u00f3gica continua sendo a obten\u00e7\u00e3o de sucesso com o paciente portador de pr\u00f3tese total (<strong>MUGLIA<\/strong> et al.,2001). <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>MUGLIA<\/strong> et al (2001) realizaram estudo com objetivo registrar o grau de satisfa\u00e7\u00e3o de pacientes desdentados totais em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s suas respectivas pr\u00f3tese totais maxilares e mandibulares, tendo como condi\u00e7\u00e3o o fator &#8220;tempo&#8221; de uso de (m\u00e1ximo, dois anos). <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>MUGLIA<\/strong> et al (2001) analisaram\u00a0 64 pacientes desdentados, que usavam pr\u00f3teses totais superiores e inferiores confeccionadas por alunos da Disciplina de Pr\u00f3tese Total da Faculdade de Odontologia de Ribeir\u00e3o Preto da Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo (FORP-USP). <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Cumpre salientar que os pacientes responderam a um question\u00e1rio com 9 quest\u00f5es, abordando: satisfa\u00e7\u00e3o geral com as pr\u00f3tese, apar\u00eancia, estabilidade, reten\u00e7\u00e3o, mastiga\u00e7\u00e3o, fon\u00e9tica, conforto e coment\u00e1rios de outras pessoa. . A<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">s respostas foram agrupadas em categorias positivas e negativa. De maneira geral, 53 por cento dos pacientes estavam satisfeitos com suas pr\u00f3tese totais. A maioria das respostas dadas pelos pacientes se enquadraram em categorias positivas. Os aspectos negativos foram encontrados na mastiga\u00e7\u00e3o, estabilidade, reten\u00e7\u00e3o e conforto da pr\u00f3tese total mandibular\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">(<\/span><strong style=\"font-family: Arial;\">MUGLIA<\/strong><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u00a0et al., 2001).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><strong>MUGLIA<\/strong> et al (2001) concluiram que o n\u00edvel de insatisfa\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 alto, ainda que o grau de satisfa\u00e7\u00e3o tenha se mostrado maior.
