Here we will show PodaLab’s participation in fairs, events, workshops and training

The VII Mata Atlântica’s Festival was held at the Tenda de Eventos in Bertioga – SP, from June 3 to 5, 2022.

The Festival aimed to find new alternatives to generate income in the city and region, as well as to value and strengthen local ecotourism, sustainable handicrafts and caiçara gastronomy. The planning workshop was held at Sesc Bertioga on October 21, 2023. It was attended by Podalab teachers and students, local artisans and staff from the City Hall and Sesc Bertioga.

The main objectives of the initiative were: to identify the problems, challenges, expectations and potential for the use of wood from pruning and suppression in Bertioga; to collectively build an overview of the local context; and finally, to outline a vision of the future and priority actions. The III Research and Extension Seminar – Podalab was held at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the University of São Paulo (FAU-USP) on April 26, 2024. It was attended by undergraduate students (PUB and FAPESP fellows), master’s and doctoral students – and supervised by Profs. Drs. Cyntia Malaguti and Tomás Barata.

The aim of the seminar was to share the progress of the research, discoveries and partial results achieved.
