In addition, spaces are occupied without an adequate prior assessment of the compatibility of the land use with its characteristics and also, extrapolating its capacity to assimilate the pollution generated by the planned activity. The environmental and social impacts of this development model become even more serious as a result of population growth. The disposal of this waste does not mean that it is no longer valuable, but that it is no longer necessary for those who discarded it. However, there are great chances that this residue will still be useful to other people, in its original or transformed form.\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-e82efab elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"e82efab\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div characteristics, properties and compatible applications are known, potential local demands are identified, as well as the existing capacity to transform these waste into raw material and, finally, into products and components that meet the identified needs.\n\nWithin this perspective, the Urban Wood Network &#8211; a North American network that brings together individuals and institutions with the aim of demonstrating applications of wood waste from urban afforestation, and promoting business in the area &#8211; recommends the following hierarchy of use, where the best use is at the top of
