O desenvolvimento experimental englobar\u00e1 duas vertentes principais: <strong>1)<\/strong> Transforma\u00e7\u00f5es oxidativas do lignosulfonato e dos \u00e1cidos hidroxicin\u00e2micos associados \u00e0 xilana empregar\u00e3o lacases, polifenol-oxidases e tirosinases. A expectativa \u00e9 que os lignosulfonatos e as xilanas, por serem sol\u00faveis em ambiente aquoso, possam infiltrar nos poros das paredes de fibras adjacentes e a sua reticula\u00e7\u00e3o enzim\u00e1tica eleve a massa molar da macromol\u00e9cula, bem como permita a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de novas liga\u00e7\u00f5es covalentes entre o lignosulfonato, a xilana e a lignina presente nas fibras da madeira; <strong>2)<\/strong> Emprego dos lignosulfonatos, <em>in natura<\/em> ou oxidados por via enzim\u00e1tica, como precursores da prepara\u00e7\u00e3o de resinas ep\u00f3xi por rea\u00e7\u00e3o dos mesmos com epicloridrina. As resinas ep\u00f3xi preparadas ser\u00e3o reticuladas por rea\u00e7\u00e3o com aminas alif\u00e1ticas e devem dar origem a resinas termofixas com elevada capacidade adesiva.
