Analisar criticamente o impacto metab\u00f3lico do trauma cir\u00fargico e o emprego de subst\u00e2ncias nutrac\u00eauticas que visam restaura\u00e7\u00e3o, manuten\u00e7\u00e3o da resposta imunol\u00f3gica e redu\u00e7\u00e3o da morbimortalidade de pacientes de cirurgia do aparelho digestivo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Justificativa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Atualmente o foco da terapia nutricional modificou-se de simples oferta de substratos de macro e micronutrientes para a busca da atenua\u00e7\u00e3o da resposta inflamat\u00f3ria e modifica\u00e7\u00e3o da resposta imunol\u00f3gica particularmente em pacientes candidatos a interven\u00e7\u00e3o cir\u00fargica de grande porte ou que evoluem com complica\u00e7\u00f5es p\u00f3s-operat\u00f3rias infecciosas. O uso de nutrientes com capacidade imunomoduladora em doses e concentra\u00e7\u00f5es acima das atribu\u00eddas na dieta geral,<\/p>\n<p>incluindo \u00e1cidos graxos \u00f4mega-3, glutamina, arginina, antioxidantes e probi\u00f3ticos, acompanha-se de redu\u00e7\u00e3o de manifesta\u00e7\u00f5es laboratoriais e cl\u00ednicas de inflama\u00e7\u00e3o e melhora da resposta imunol\u00f3gica. Esses benef\u00edcios t\u00eam repercuss\u00e3o cl\u00ednica favor\u00e1vel, por diminuir taxa de complica\u00e7\u00f5es infecciosas e reduzir o tempo de interna\u00e7\u00e3o hospitalar.
