Estas complica\u00e7\u00f5es justificam pesquisas no \u00e2mbito experimental que se ocupem em desenvolver novos modelos de tratamento menos agressivos e mais eficazes. Por outro lado, houve tamb\u00e9m um grande avan\u00e7o no estudo da fisiopatog\u00eanese e terap\u00eautica de algumas afec\u00e7\u00f5es hep\u00e1ticas como a Doen\u00e7a Hep\u00e1tica Gordurosa N\u00e3o Alco\u00f3lica e o Carcinoma Hepatocelular, incluindo conhecimento da biologia molecular na progress\u00e3o destas doen\u00e7as, podendo-se pesquisar alvos moleculares que tenham aplicabilidade terap\u00eautica.<\/p>\n<p>Paralelamente a estes modelos imp\u00f5e-se o ensino da metodologia de pesquisa cient\u00edfica aplicada a realidade cl\u00ednica. A formula\u00e7\u00e3o de hip\u00f3teses cient\u00edficas vem acompanhada do conhecimento cient\u00edfico adquirido na pr\u00e1tica cl\u00ednica e experimental, ela deve seguir, se poss\u00edvel, sequ\u00eancia metodol\u00f3gica bem estabelecida: inicialmente em modelos n\u00e3o biol\u00f3gicos (matem\u00e1ticos e virtuais). Se a hip\u00f3tese, for positiva deve-se iniciar modelos em vitro com utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de cultura de c\u00e9lulas e tecidos. Em sequ\u00eancia a pesquisa deve passar para modelos em animais de pequeno porte (roedores), para posteriormente utilizar animais de grande porte.
