Foreign exchange students may attend courses at the Program for a period of one or two semesters. Students may thus obtain credits or do research valid for the Academic Record.
It is necessary to have previous knowledge of the Portuguese language, since practically all of the activities at USP are offered in this language.
The Brazilian academic year is from February to December and is divided in two semesters. The first semester is from February to June and the second from August to December. January and July are vacation periods at the University of São Paulo.
