<\/a><\/p>\nThe study began by tracing ancient remains through the analysis of architectural decoration, with an initial focus on the survey of sporadic architectural elements that had been reused in medieval buildings or preserved in museum collections. At the current stage, research is concentrated on the Erechtheion, for which new surveys have been carried out to produce an updated 3D model. The objective is not to shed light on the Classical building itself, but rather on the subsequent restoration phases: those undertaken after the major fire of the first century B.C., as well as the less conspicuous interventions of the second and third centuries A.D.<\/p>\n Bibliography<\/strong><\/p>\n W.
