      \nWith the support of FAPESP, the       PRArch project<\/a> investigates Severan architecture and architectural decoration through four provincial case studies\u2014Sicily, Athens, Cyprus, and Syria-Palaestina. The research examines the persistence of local traditions and their influence on the reception of official architecture, with particular emphasis on hybrid decorative forms. It further explores the deployment of architecture and its embellishment as instruments of propaganda, their role in shaping the provincial perception of dynastic identity, and the social functions of architecture in transforming and redefining the urban landscape.<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
