Durante o mestrado e o doutorado, desenvolveu projetos no contexto do diabetes mellitus tipo 1, analisando o mecanismo de citoprote\u00e7\u00e3o desencadeado pela prolactina e a participa\u00e7\u00e3o da prote\u00edna HSPB1 no Estresse do Ret\u00edculo Endoplasm\u00e1tico e na Degrada\u00e7\u00e3o Prote\u00edca via Proteassomo em c\u00e9lulas beta pancre\u00e1ticas.
