Candidates for a Master\u2019s degree must complete at least 96 credits: at least 28 course credits and 68 thesis credits.<\/p>\n
Those interested in applying for the Master\u2019s program in Psychology shall first contact a potential advisor, that is, a professor working in the field of research of interest who will advise on how to proceed with your research project during the program. After gaining your advisor\u2019s consent, you shall apply for the selection process that takes place every six months according to the established in specific document under \u201cAdmission<\/b>\u201d, \u201cMaster\u2019s Program<\/b>\u201d, and \u201cNotice<\/b>\u201d.<\/p>\nScholarships<\/h3>\n
In addition to CAPES scholarships distributed by the Vice-President of Graduate Studies of USP, the Graduate Program in Psychology provides scholarships to Master\u2019s students (from CAPES and CNPq) who meet social demands. The monthly amount of a Master\u2019s scholarship is R$ 1,500.00 (One Thousand and Five Hundred Reais) and may be provided up to 24 months.<\/p>\n
In addition to these scholarships, Master\u2019s and Doctoral scholarships can be specifically requested to FAPESP or other research funding agencies through the student\u2019s or advisor\u2019s own initiative.<\/p>\n
After being approved in the selection process and having regularly enrolled in the program, scholarship candidates must declare their interest by filling out a specific form and delivering it to the Program\u2019s Administrative Office immediately after admission, after which incoming students are included in the list of candidates to CAPES and CNPq scholarships. Students are listed according to their rank in the selection process, i.e. the student ranked first in the Master\u2019s selection process is also the first in the list of candidates to scholarships and so on. The list of scholarship candidates is valid for one semester (period between enrollments).<\/p><\/div>\n

Candidates for a doctoral degree must complete at least 160 credits: 16 course credits and 144 dissertation credits.<\/p>\n

In case of a tie between two or more students, the highest grade obtained in the research project presented in the selection process is the first criterion for a tie-breaker. The second criterion is the seniority score.<\/p>\n
The rating list of students applying for a scholarship is updated five weekdays after the results of the Doctoral selection process are disclosed (only those who manifested interest are considered), and becomes valid after it\u2019s publication on the bulletin board of the Psychology Graduate Program\u2019s Administrative Office up to the disclosure of a new rating list concerning the following selection process.<\/p>\n
