RCGI at ETCA: video highlights innovation and international collaboration in the energy transition

RCGI is proud to be featured by the Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam (ETCA) as one of its highly appreciated academic members, reinforcing the relevance of international collaboration in advancing the global energy transition.

As highlighted by ETCA, the Research Centre for Greenhouse Gas Innovation (RCGI) operates at the intersection of research, innovation, and industrial application to deliver tangible solutions for emissions reduction. One notable example is the development of hydrogen production from ethanol, a strategic pathway that addresses global decarbonization challenges.

In the words of Renato Picelli, Assistant Professor at the University of São Paulo and Director of Innovation & Technology Transfer at RCGI, building the necessary infrastructure locally has been a key achievement—demonstrating how applied research can translate into real-world impact.

Renato also emphasizes the role of ETCA as a platform for global connectivity, enabling RCGI to strengthen ties with international partners and innovation ecosystems worldwide.
