BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1994). PhD in Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (2001). After a two-year postdoctoral stay at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) and a one-year postdoctoral stay at University of New Orleans (USA), she joined the Institute of Chemistry at University of S\u00e3o Paulo (IQUSP), in 2004. \u00a0Livre Docente in Inorganic Chemistry, University of S\u00e3o Paulo (2010) and Full Professor at the Department of Fundamental Chemistry since 2016.<\/p>\nHer research interests in the field of chemistry and catalysis include novel approaches for the synthesis of supported metal nanoparticles with controlled size, morphology and surface properties, catalyst recovery and recycling, new reactivity patterns at metal-ligands interfaces, bimetallic and hybrid catalysts, and the concepts of green chemistry in selective reactions. The main catalytic processes under study are selective hydrogenations and oxidations, biomass conversion into chemicals, including CO2<\/sub> conversion and valorisation. She is the Coordinator of the scientific project \u201cInnovative process for CO2<\/sub> conversion to high added value chemicals and fuels based on hybrid catalysts\u201d at the Research Centre for Gas Innovation (RCGI), sponsored by FAPESP- SHELL. She is the author or co-author of more than 100 papers published in indexed peer-reviewed scientific journals, two book chapters and two patent applications filled. She has coordinated several research projects sponsored by Fapesp and CNPq. She is currently responsible for the undergraduate courses of General Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry (Green Chemistry) at IQUSP. She is also responsible for the post-graduation courses of Catalysis: an integrated approach and Nanocatalysis at IQUSP. She is an Editorial Advisory Board Member at ACS Catalysis (American Chemical Society) and Chemistry Select (ChemPubSoc and Wiley). She is a member of the Brazilian Chemical Society (SBQ), Brazilian Catalysis Society (SBCAT) and American Chemical Society (ACS).
