The event, which also commemorates the fifth anniversary of the Centre\u2019s activities, will be transmitted via YouTube on September 30 and October 1<\/em><\/p>\n Five years of activities, 46 research projects, dozens of scientific publications, several patents filed for, and numerous innovations for the natural gas and biogas market, as well as the storage and use of CO2<\/sub>. In order to take stock of the main achievements during this period, the FAPESP Shell Research Centre for Gas Innovation (RCGI) will hold a workshop \u201cRCGI in Review \u2013 5 years of gas innovation\u201d, on September 30 and October 1, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The event will be held in English, and transmitted via YouTube (https:\/\/bit.ly\/2Fyt4x1<\/a>), with interaction takin place by chat messages. See the schedule here<\/a>.<\/p>\n Limited to three hours per day, the workshop will follow a dynamic format. \u201cThe coordinators of the five programs will make presentations highlighting the advances of their research projects. Afterwards, there will be a time for discussing the difficulties already faced and future challenges,\u201d explains the Director of Innovation and Dissemination of Knowledge, Gustavo Assi.<\/p>\n Furthermore, on the first day, the RCGI\u2019s Scientific Director, Julio Meneghini, will speak about the perspectives of the RCGI after these five years. On the second day, the speaker will be Shell\u2019s representative, Alexandre Breda, who will talk about the company\u2019s experiences and expectations regarding the Centre. The RCGI is funded by Shell and by the S\u00e3o Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP).<\/p>\n \u201cThis year, nearly all of the 29 initial projects of the RCGI will be concluded. The other 17 projects, which were launched in 2018, have already produced a variety of results \u2013 several of them providing solutions for reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
