Graduate in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (2003), MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of S\u00e3o Paulo (2005) and PhD in Aeronautics from Imperial College, London (2009). Research visitor at the University of Oxford (2013-14) and Caltech (2016-17).
