It was created in order to reduce the socio economic damage caused by vascular cerebral diseases, in special, stroke. Since its creation, the RNPAVC has been promoting dozens of new researches (epidemiological, pre clinical and clinical) compromised to solve national problems. Up to the present moment, efforts are focused in improving the accuracy of acute cerebrovascular diseases\u2019 epidemiology.
