Laboratório de Farmacogenômica
I have a bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology (2013) and a Master’s Degree in Neuroscience and Cognition (2016), both titles obtained in the Universidade Federal of ABC (UFABC). During this period I worked on projects about retinal development and degeneration. I have always found the study of the nervous system very stimulating, and I began to be interested in its relation with energy metabolism. In search of this knowledge, in 2016 I initiated my doctorate in the Pharmacogenomics Laboratory, where I study how maternal obesity affects the adipose tissue’s development and its communication with the sympathetic nervous system in the offspring. Between 2018 and 2019, I did an internship in the laboratory of Professor Da-Zhi Wang (Boston Children’s Hospital, Medical Harvard School), where I investigated the participation of miRNA-22 in the establishment of neuro-adipose communication.
