ADMISSION

Admissions to the PPGSC at FMUSP are continuous, i.e., all year round.

Candidates scoring 7 or higher in the research project and CV asssessments are approved.

The candidates are encouraged to reach out to potential supervisors.

English proficiency during the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil

Minimum requirements: B1 (CEF) for M.Sc. and B1+(CEF) for Ph.D.;

Minimum requirements: 60% for M.Sc. and 70% for Ph.D.

 

Besides the options above, the accepted tests listed in the Graduate Regulations and in the call are also valid.

 

Waiver requests:

Waiver requests due to economic vulnerability will be assessed individually by the PPGSC Coordination Committee and by the USP Medical School Graduate Committee. The requests must be submitted to the PPGSC Secretariat and contain one of the documents listed below:

– Proof of enrollment in Brazil’s Federal Social Programs via the Single Registry;

– Proof of Unemployment (Employment Record Booklet or copy of the Unemployment Insurance);

– Proof of family income not larger than 1.5 Brazilian minimum wage per person;

– Justification letter signed by the applicant.

The waiver requests must be e-mailed to posfm@fm.usp.br – subject: registration fee waiver request.

 

Enrollment as Special Student

The registration as “special student” is intended for those who are not yet enrolled in any Graduate Program at USP.

The course registration request form together with a justification may be e-mail to pgmprev@usp.br

The student must register before the course kicks off, as long as slots are available and the student is accepted by the lecturer.

Once the lecturer signs the form, the registration must be consolidated with the SPG – Graduate Service
