The seminar takes place in room T1, building M1 at 12:30.<\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"line-height: 200%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Abstract<\/span>:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN-US\" style=\"line-height: 200%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';font-size: 12pt\"><span style=\"line-height: 200%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';font-size: 12pt\">The wastewater treatment systems contain important resources and can generate value-added products, such as: renewable energy, fertilizers, reclaimed water, cellulose, alginate, metals, sand, bioplastic, and others. However, currently the predominant practices have been the wastewater collection and treatment and the disposal of treated effluent in the environment, without its recovery and recycling. <\/span><span style=\"line-height: 200%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';font-size: 12pt\">In this context, this study proposes to address the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) with the approach of resource recovery under the conceptual, economic, environmental and technological focus.<\/span> Among the\u00a0specific objectives of this research are: <span style=\"line-height: 200%;font-family: 'Times New Roman','serif';font-size: 12pt\"> to characterize the material flows of a WWTP located in S\u00e3o Paulo macrometropolis; and to perform a collection of data about the possibilities of improvement of the existing processes and the operational stages with the definition of operational and technology strategies of resource recovery.
