PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATORS

Omero Poli-Neto

Omero did his undergraduate degree in Medicine, specializing in Gynecologic Surgery and Oncology, and completed his PhD at Ribeirao Preto Medical School of the University of Sao Paulo. He's the coordinator of the institutional Biobank, vice-coordinator of the Postgraduate Program, member of the Research Ethics Committee at HCFMRP-USP, of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, of the Brazilian Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics Associations (Febrasgo), and the Brazilian Society of Endometriosis.
He is a passionate researcher in gynecology and data science. Currently, his focus is on the application of computer data science principles, robust databases and integrative methods, including artificial intelligence, on the understanding of epidemiological and biological factors associated with pelvic pain and endometriosis in women, aiming to propose better diagnostic and therapeutic tools.

Daniel Tiezzi

Daniel did his undergraduate degree in Medicine, specializing in Gynecology, Clinical Oncology and Mastology, and completed his PhD at Ribeirao Preto Medical School of the University of Sao Paulo. He held a doctoral internship at Fox Chase Cancer Center at the Breast Cancer Research Laboratory (Philadelphia, PA, USA) in the area of Molecular Biology (2006) and was Visiting Researcher at Cancer Research UK at Cambridge University (2015-2016). Currently, he's member of the American Association for Cancer Research.
He is also a passionate researcher in gynecology and data science. He works mainly on the following topics: breast cancer and cancer molecular biology, in particular, in large-scale molecular and genomic data analysis including microarray analysis and RNA and DNA sequencing.

Francisco Candido-dos-Reis

Francisco did his undergraduate degree in Medicine, specializing in Surgery, Gynecology, Clinical Oncology and Mastology, and completed his PhD at Ribeirao Preto Medical School of the University of Sao Paulo. He held a doctoral internship at Brigham and Women's Hospital at the Harvard Medical School em Boston (2004-2005) and was Visiting Researcher at Centre for Cancer Genetic Epidemiology at the Universidade of Cambridge in the United Kingdom (2013-2015).

Juliana Meola Lovato

Juliana did her undergraduate degree in Biological Science. She got her Master's Degree in Genetics and Biochemistry at Federal University of Uberlandia and completed her PhD in Reproductive Biology at Ribeirao Preto Medical School of the University of Sao Paulo.

Julio Rosa-e-Silva

Julio did his undergraduate degree in Medicine, specializing in Gynecology, Reproduction and Endoscopy, and completed his PhD at Ribeirao Preto Medical School of the University of Sao Paulo. He was Visiting Associate Professor at the Yale School of Medicine and Research Fellow at the Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidade (IVI-Espanha).
