Experimental and clinical pathophysiology: this field is focused on morphology, physiological mechanisms and alterations of the stomatognathic system and their correlations with the functional systems of the body, using in vitro and in vivo models.
Tissue repair, biocompatibility and toxicity: this field is focused on cellular mechanisms and potential therapies to promote tissue repair in the stomatognathic system as well as on investigating the biocompatibility and toxicity of biomaterials aiming the clinical application, using in vitro and in vivo models.
Molecular and morphological biomarkers: this field is focused on applicability of molecular and morphological biomarkers associated with oral structures (teeth, oral mucosa, saliva etc.) for diagnostic, therapeutic and legal investigation purposes.
